Nothing stands still. The Universe is always expanding and contracting and our businesses and ourselves are no different. I understand that America seems to have an expansion issues – not only with our girth, but with the idea that bigger is better and grow, grow, grow and build bigger, better NOW. Welllllllll, my take is that there needs to be some pull back once in a while to reassess, collect our thoughts, realign, recalibrate if we seem off course and reinvest in ourselves and/or our businesses.

If we are ever expanding without pulling off the road to re-examine if it’s the right road; then we’ll find ourselves a lot further down the wrong road and needing to pull a U-turn and head even further back than if we had recognized we were off course in the first place. I practice contraction and expansion, sometimes on purpose and sometimes the purpose is done for me. Thank you Universe.

As you may have noticed; there hasn’t been much blogging this year as I was on a major contraction getting ready for a major expansion. And….. I just didn’t feel like it. There, I said it. I just didn’t have it in me to share during a time when I needed to share inward and experience all I was experiencing with myself without bystanders. I understand this seems wierd in this new world of “over-sharing”. Like a cat that coils up and is very still before the pounce; I’ve been still in some ways and expressive in others as I’ve re-charted my path of expansion. There are changes coming in how I serve my community, my clients and myself that better suit how I want to live my life and serve others.

How are you contracting to further expand? Or are you? Are you aftraid to contract that your competition may get your clients? Fear not, as this is a vital necessity in the life of any business or person. It is as with the Universe, either contracting or expanding and never standing still. This is a great time of year to take stock of your year in review and your year in preview to see if you need to pull off or if you’re in the correct lane or if you need to move from the fast lane to the slower lane for a bit….. a few weeks, months, or even most of the year.
